Day Seven

In today’s society, we have such an environment of “just do it” and “make it happen”, that it has seeped into our souls to the point that, especially in the western world, we, as Christians are buying into it. We think WE can do it in our own strength.
God has given people the ability to do many things if they work, they train, they study and they perform. But it still starts with His DNA. He has built determination and a desire to win in every person. Many achieve success to a certain extent, with natural discipline and building their own reality by their own strength.
However, God has built His church to model something quite different.
We are to rely on Him, not ourselves.
10 Who among you fears the Lord and obeys his Servant? If such men walk in darkness, without one ray of light, let them trust the Lord, let them rely upon their God. 11 But see here, you who live in your own light and warm yourselves from your own fires and not from God’s; you will live among sorrows. Isaiah 50:10-11 TLB
Unfortunately, those who have built their lives around the success of the world, often find it lonely and empty at the top. They find people only want to take from them. Without God and His purposes, life is empty.
Look at the difference in how our lives are fulfilled once we meet Him:
20 Our inner selves wait [earnestly] for the Lord; He is our Help and our Shield. 21 For in Him does our heart rejoice, because we have trusted (relied on and been confident) in His holy name. 22 Let Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, be upon us, in proportion to our waiting and hoping for You. Psalms 33:20-22 AMP
What can we rely on?  God!  His heart to GIVE.  John 3:16 – He gave.
16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten ( unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.
17 For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him. 18 He who believes in Him [who clings to, trusts in, relies on Him] is not judged [he who trusts in Him never comes up for judgment; for him there is no rejection, no condemnation – he incurs no damnation]; but he who does not believe (cleave to, rely on, trust in Him) is judged already [he has already been convicted and has already received his sentence] because he has not believed in and trusted in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [He is condemned for refusing to let his trust rest in Christ’s name.]
John 3:16-18 AMP
God gave, and we are all built with that inside. It is satan’s plot to get people self-centered. Oh, but His love pulls us out of selfishness, and gives us a different, fulfilling, exciting life to live.
It is time for us to be like Him and give like Him, with purpose.
We can give selflessly of our time to the Lord and others. Not only is His presence the best present to us, we can share that presence with others!
He made us with His own DNA to be givers. He has put the ability inside of us through Holy Spirit to see those with broken hearts and spirits and to give them what we have. The knowledge of the truth of His life, death and resurrection.
He brought us out, so we could bring them in with us, to that wonderful place where we can receive His love and be so filled up with it, that it spills out on us, and then through us.
We must lean into Him, and let everything else wait. Then we will speak and move with Him.
I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father. John 14:12 AMP
We can’t do the miraculous in our strength, but we can operate in His miraculous power!  When He fills us up, we can be confident in relying on His purposes, with His heart. We are carriers of His love. We are co-laborers with His power. We can impact all those around us.
But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”  Matthew 19:26 NKJV
Let’s come into agreement in prayer, today, with God’s plans and release the truth of who He is to others.
Pray:  Father God, I don’t want to just make a difference, I want to BE the difference on the earth. I want to be Your hands reaching out, and I want to give Your love out to all that I come in contact with. Make Yourself so known to me, that others will see You through me. I love You, Lord. I choose You Lord, and I am excited to follow You all the days of my life.
