Day Seventeen

We are living in exciting times as we see God fulfilling His plan for the culmination of all things. In fact, as Holy Spirit presses on the earth more urgently, He is supernaturally opening the eyes and hearts of many to bring a revelation of who Jesus is. He is also opening our hearts and minds to who we are—one with Him.

Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the Day of Judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. 1 John 4:17 NKJV

We have always considered that our boldness in the Day of Judgment was because God has given us mercy and grace. But another perspective is that because we are with Christ, we speak and act with boldness on His behalf—releasing His perfect love into the world so that they too will be ready for that day. Love has been perfected in us!

He has called each of us to be ministers—ambassadors for Him. He has entrusted us with the “ministry of reconciliation,” and we are boldly calling people into understanding that because God loves them so much, they can start over. They can be NEW!

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christs behalf, be reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:17-20 NKJV

God isn’t tying them to their faults and shortcomings; He is tying them to Himself because of Jesus—and we are His representatives, boldly speaking for Him, and speaking reconciliation. Reconcile means “to win over to friendliness, to settle a dispute, to bring into agreement or harmony, to re-consecrate, or to restore to communion.”  God is the one reaching out, but He is doing it THROUGH US!

He does not want us to be focusing on peoples’ lifestyles or their faults. He wants us to focus on Him and help them focus on Him. His desire is to bring them into friendship, harmony and restoration.

How can we do something this big for God?  Well, He wouldn’t ask it of us if He had not also equipped us for it!  Recognize that it is big—in fact, too big for us to do on our own. He already did what was required and now we need His empowerment! We are a bridge to reach each one with His love, and He has a strategy for each person.

It requires a miracle—and you can be the miracle someone else needs!  He has given us a mandate to be the miracle someone else needs!

28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. 29 To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.

Colossians 1:28-29 NKJV

God is working in you mightily to be His hands, His feet, His voice, His heart!  That’s a miracle!

There are different ways to impact people. Maybe He wants you to boldly speak forgiveness. Anytime you see someone or something that doesn’t line up to Him and His righteousness, you can speak right into the midst of that person or that situation in His behalf. Just speak it in the spirit realm, “I forgive you in Jesus’ Name,” or “I’m sorry for what you have gone through.” In this way, you are connecting them to God. You can be the miracle someone needs!

Maybe He wants you to boldly invite someone to church and help them feel welcome at church. That is one way to show them that God wants to be friends with them. It’s very difficult to take that step into a new church, especially for those who have had bad experiences in the past. By your friendliness and true concern, you are connecting them to God. You can be the miracle someone needs!

Maybe God wants you to boldly give someone a gift, take them a meal, give someone some money, or spend some time with someone. Maybe God wants you to call someone, pray with someone, speak words of acceptance and love to them, and give them a word of blessing or a tract. Trust His prompting; trust His timing; trust Him to give you the words and the actions. Most people err on the side of not being bold enough. If you feel you are bold enough, don’t let it lessen; come up a level and act on His behalf with more wisdom and more love. You are connecting them to God. You are the miracle someone else needs!

Accept the mandate to be a miracle for someone else!

Let God minister and transform your heart with His love!
