ALL THINGS NEW

For us to be ALL IN we must recognize that all things were made new to us through Jesus.
New means:

• not old
• recently born, built or created
• being other than the former or old
• different than what has existed

This was promised long ago to us by God. He said things were going to be different by His own design.

31 “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah — 32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the Lord. 33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
Jeremiah 31:31-33 NKJV

We are not people who are to simply operate by the rules. Now it is much better; we are to rule through the heart of God beating through our hearts. Our operational system has changed. We are His people and we operate with a new and better covenant:

17 For He testifies: “You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.” 18 For on the one hand there is an annulling of the former commandment because of its weakness and unprofitableness, 19 for the law made nothing perfect; on the other hand, there is the bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God. 20 And inasmuch as He was not made priest without an oath, 21 (for they have become priests without an oath, but He with an oath by Him who said to Him, “The Lord has sworn and will not relent. You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek,”) 22 by so much more, Jesus has become a surety of a better covenant.
Hebrews 7:17-22 NKJV

Oh it’s better, so much better! Thank God for God’s plan! Thank God for MORE. Thank God for NEW. Jesus made all things new AND available to all of us.

Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!
2 Corinthians 5:17 AMP

We are new people altogether. Our morals are changed because our spirit has come alive and destroyed the old way of doing things.
We don’t have to:

• be like we used to be
• act like we used to act
• go where we used to go
• talk like we used to talk
• be burdened down like we used to be
• lie like we used to lie
• cheat like we used to cheat
• depend on what we used to depend on
• be sad anymore
• be depressed anymore
• be defeated anymore

We are alive IN HIM and the old is passed away. Anyone looking at our lives should say about us: “Look at that! They are totally different than they used to be.” Amen, we are brand new! We aren’t doing the same old, same old. We have gotten hold of what is new. Who we are is not who we used to be. What we can accomplish is way beyond what we used to imagine or even think. We have purpose because He loved us on purpose, and He purposely provided all that we would ever need to live a different life.
We can:

• be who He said we could be
• do what He said we could do
• accomplish what He said we could accomplish

We are beholding Him and we are being changed day by day as we see Him reflecting in us and through us. Glory to His name! We are free to be free! He is faithful to His promises, and we have the privilege of being ALL IN on whatever His plan is for us today and every day. I just made myself happy! YOOHOO! BE NEW!
