If you must win the nations for God, it all has to start with a vision. The scriptures say: go into all the nations and raise disciples for the kingdom. Jesus started with 12, then 70, then a couple of hundreds, then an army of disciples that spread the gospel to all nations – for which we are partakers of today. It all started with a vision. Joshua was a charismatic leader but he was unable to raise a generation of leaders and disciples after him. The vision however did not die, so God had to raise some other generation of leaders to take up the mantle. One other power tool the church needs to conquer the nations for Christ is influence – but the church barely has any. The church seems to have been polluted by the world, and rather than be led by the kingdom ways, the church seems to be trying to keep up. The church should be a stable of influence, be involved in the communities and have an impactful touch on the world. If the church is more involved with the nations – raising disciples for the kingdom, then our world would be a better

We have to learn that right in the middle of fear and chaos, there is remedy. When hurricane Irma raged through Florida, the fear metrics were raised to the maximum, but through it all, we had a remedy – Jesus (who is an embodiment of peace in the storm. Mark 4:35). You may be surprised to know that “Irma” (the name of the Cat-5 hurricane that made land-fall in Florida Keys and later through the entire state of Florida from coast to coast) means the goddess of war. How co-incidental that the goddess of war had to bow to the God of peace – Jesus! In John 16:33, Jesus says – in me you may have peace because I have overcome the world. Jesus and his disciples were also in the middle of a storm off the shores of Galilee, but right before, during and after the storm – Jesus was there in the boat. While the disciples in the boat with Jesus were gripped with fear, Jesus was asleep – in peace; not because he didn’t care that they may perish, but he wanted them to see the storm with his kind of peaceful mind. He wanted them to

Are we allowing the impact of our life circumstances to affect our relationship with God? At times we feel we are the only ones going through difficult situations and we think God may have forsaken us. Job passed through such life changing circumstance – so traumatizing that he was even asked to curse God and die, so he could be out of his misery quickly. Job was a right standing man with God by the way, and yet he was so battered and beat down that he lost EVERYTHING! When we get curved balls thrown our way, when we’re in the middle of winding roads, trying to find our ‘feeling fine’, getting bashed, pummeled by life and trying not to lose our mind, we have to: BELIEVE IN GOD (still) and ultimately TRUST HIM (even when we can’t see him at work). The three Hebrew men when they were going to be thrown into the burning furnace for refusing to bow down to the king’s idol, they stood their ground with an unwavering faith: Our God is mighty enough to save us from this fiery furnace, but even if he doesn’t – we shall not bow to your god! That’s
