    David is one of my favorite Old Testament people. I know he was a mess, but he was also mentioned in Hebrews 11 (v. 32-34) in the Hall of Faith, and he is also called by God, “a man after His own heart.” (Acts 13:22)  God wanted someone- someone after His own heart– who would rule His people differently. We all still benefit from the many things we learn about David’s love for God. In the Psalms he wrote about his King. Many, O Lord my God, are the wonderful works which You have done, and Your thoughts toward us; no one can compare with You! If I should declare and speak of them, they are too many to be numbered. I delight to do Your will, O my God; yes, Your law is within my heart. Psalm 40:5, 8 (AMP) This is just a small example of all the wonderful things that David discovered and proclaimed about his God. For David to know God in this way, he would have to learn from many things, and hear from many voices.  God always has a plan and He has people in place to help you understand His plan for your life.  However, things
