Saved (Salvation Story): I first gave my life to Jesus when I was 16. My Boyfriend was a Preachers kid. Unfortunately I was not well received by his parents, so I was never really told what “getting saved” was all about. I just knew my heart was beating so hard in my chest when they did that call to the front that I had to go! But I didn’t develop a relationship with Jesus then. Thankfully, Jesus didn’t judge me or forsake me, and I found Him again in my late 20’s, after I had met Steve. One of Steve’s friends from his Youth Group days invited us to a Bible Study and told us about a book called “Cosmic Conspiracy” written by a Christian in the 70’s. I bought the book and read it in like two days, and prayed the “Sinners Prayer” in the back of the book! I started reading the Bible…like every day after work for over a year! One day I finally realized, “I need to go to Church”! Steve went with me. We tried a few until we found the right one for us. I rededicated my life at the first alter call they gave and was baptized soon after. Done Deal! I was sold out for Jesus! I must say, I sure wish someone had told me a thing or two back when I was 16… which would have saved me a bunch of heartache and pain. I think that’s one of the reason’s I feel fortunate to be able to sow into the lives of our Youth now. I don’t want any of them to go through the mistakes and the “stuff” I went through! Thank you Jesus, for seeing me through!

One of the Things I Find Most Fascinating: That Jesus knew me “before” I was in my mother’s womb! That’s pretty cool!

MORE ABOUT ME

Life Motto: Do everything unto the Lord

My Hero: That’s easy… Jesus for sure!! (But I admit, I am a fan of Captain America)

One of My Greatest Experiences with God: The first time I really “felt” His Anointing, His Presence, His Glory… not really sure what….but I was worshipping at the Alter at the first Church I attended, and all of a sudden I felt this heavy “warmth” come oozing down over me, like a liquid, from my head down. It was thick and warm and heavy and I was weeping and laughing at the same time... for real! It was very deep, and very joyful, even though it was so “heavy”. But I felt as lite as a feather, like I was floating. I looked around at everyone else in worship but no one else seemed to notice. I felt like I should have been glowing! It was an incredible experience that I still long for after 16 years! I have had other wonderful experiences with Him but none quite like that. I love Him.

Most People Don’t Know This About Me: I sometimes talk “Baby Talk”. It just comes out at Random… it always has. Not sure why? But Steve thinks it’s cute, so I’m good.
