2018 Fasting Guide – Day Five
RESOURCESRecognize God’s provision for us to be able to be ALL IN.
We have been formed by God in His image and in His likeness, and we have also have all been invested in by God. He has given to us all Time, Talent, Energy and Finance.
Everyone has the same exact number of hours in a day--twenty-four hours to be exact. And it is what we do with them that will make a difference for others, as well as ourselves. It can and will ultimately make a difference for eternity!
Imagine the fact that we have the ability to enlarge heaven and decrease hell’s population. But we do! It will take us deciding what is important and a priority of our time.
What we choose to give ourselves to can determine someone else’s life. If we are ALL IN, then we should be ALL IN for looking for the way to spend our precious moments with God so that we have precious moments FROM God to change someone else’s life.
Everyone has gifts. We call them talent but the truth is that talent is just gifts that have been grown by embracing them and utilizing them.
The definition of talent is:
• an aptitude
• a special ability that allows someone to do something well
And the synonym is … you guessed it: GIFT! God gave us gifts!! Of course He did, and the Word tells us so:
1 Corinthians 7:17 NKJV
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
Matthew 7:11 NKJV
That means we must realize that when we seem to be a “natural” at something, it really means God has blessed us with something that we operate in that others may be challenged to do.
That is because to you it is a GIFT. To them, it is a challenge. We have a tendency to wonder why others can’t do the things we think are easy. Nothing is just “easy” we must recognize what a blessing it is that we have been given a gift that can be utilized to help others.
Ephesians 2:10 is very important because it explains what God has done and what we are to do.
Ephesians 2:10 NIV
It is easy for the enemy to get us to buy into the thoughts of what is and what isn’t our responsibility, so that we pick and choose what we will do with what we have been entrusted with.
But the Word will always tell us the truth of what our responsibilities are:
James 4:17 NIV
The other thing we all have is:
Energy is defined as “the exertion of power and effort; usable power.” You see, we have been given usable power, on purpose:
Exodus 9:16 NKJV
Think of it! What a privilege we have to know that God has invested HIS power inside of us and we GET TO declare His name in all the earth.
So everything we do and everything we expend our energy on can be utilized to destroy satan’s kingdom and increase God’s Kingdom. We can cooperate with God to destroy satan’s power over lives and release the life of God into them.
And God didn’t stop there; He gave us power that protects us as well!
Luke 10:19 KJV
Another thing we have all been given is:
Finance is defined as, “the money or other liquid resources of a government, business, group or individual.”
We all have something of substance that we are responsible for handling properly. If we are ALL IN with God, that means He comes first in that area as well.
The tithe, of course, is 10% of your gross income and goes to the local Church. We must recognize ALL we have has been given to us by Him in the first place. He has provided us 90% to work with after we give Him 10% to multiply to us! Your offerings multiply to you even more – you need to settle this forever. You can never out-give God! That is how the Kingdom of God’s operating system was set up by Him!
I can promise you from personal experience, and from all those I know who tithe, that God gives you back much more when you honor Him in this way than that 10% could ever get you.
Malachi 3:10 NKJV
This is the only time God says to try Him (to prove Him—put Him to the test). When we are ALL IN we are ALL IN in every part of our lives. But He has ALWAYS been ALL IN for us and with us.
Let’s seal the deal with prayer:
I could never thank You enough for all You have done for me and provided for me, but I recognize the value of it. Today I am giving You permission to evaluate every part of my life and to make sure that I am actually willing to offer back to You all that you have given me.
I am sorry for any part I haven’t recognized, but I am excited as well as humbled to offer it all to You right now.
