TRUSTING NOT DOUBTING

To be ALL IN is just in and of itself such a huge concept! Those words are very sobering to me. It means that there are some adjustments that God is asking His people for—all of us. It means there are areas that can be improved. We know that we are righteous because of Jesus putting us in right standing with the Father again, but the way we live our lives is living proof of how we trust God.

Sometimes we have to remind ourselves that we are not called to live a “life of ease.” Instead of pleasing ourselves, we need to apply ourselves to please Him. To me, one of the greatest challenges we all face is to continually trust Him completely.

Trust means:

• belief that someone or something is reliable, good and honest
• you can rely on one’s character, ability, strength and truth
• you can place yourself totally in someone’s possession

That means there may be a sacrifice for us in our choices.
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the Lord.
Psalm 4:5 NKJV
Trust is the exact opposite of doubt.

Doubt means:

• to be uncertain about someone, to believe that they may not be pure
• to lack confidence
• distrust (Ouch!)

If we all were completely honest with ourselves, we would have to admit this is a challenge because satan is always speaking doubt into our ears. The good news is that we always have a choice. We must recognize satan’s tactics and choose to remember the reliability, goodness, character, ability and strength of our God. When we do that, we start bubbling over from the inside with assurance of His goodness. We realize, not only is He amazing, but He is on our side. He is our defender. He will turn all things around for our good.

Look at this, something else is about to happen:

11 But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name be joyful in You. 12 For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield.
Psalm 5:11-12 NKJV

You can walk through whatever the circumstances are, and still maintain your joy, because we know He not only will take care of us, He will take care of our enemy to ensure our victory! Yay God!!!

There are so many scriptures we can remind ourselves of to reinforce this. Here is another one of my favorites:

2 The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. 3 I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.
Psalm 18:2-3 NKJV

If He is holding on strong to us and we are holding on strong to Him, the enemy does not have a chance! Let’s be real with ourselves and allow the Holy Spirit to deal with any doubt we have allowed into our hearts or our thinking.

Today is a good day to kick doubt out and to put our trust and confidence back into God and His Word! Agree together right now and imagine the power of all of us coming together today and being ALL IN in TRUSTING in OUR GOD.

Holy Spirit,
We ask You to reveal where there is any lack of trust in our God right now. We don’t want to distrust Him. We want to fully trust in Him because He is the only God that can be trusted! We renounce any agreement with the enemy that God has failed us or will fail us. We say, “Doubt, we recognize you, and we renounce you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We evict you from our premises and from our minds, and we command every doubt that we have allowed to linger to flee right now! We throw you out! You are not welcome here anymore! We replace doubt with full trust of our Father God and all His promises! We are coming alive with the truth of Your character and Your goodness and we rejoice today!”

Thank you Lord, for restoring my hope, my joy and my trust right now in Jesus’ mighty name! Amen

As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.
Psalms 18:30 NKJV
So take this devil! I declare:

My shield is up and you do not have access to me, to my family, to my loved ones, or to my church family because we are ALL IN!
