If we are to be equipped for the supernatural we must cry out to God to be the difference.
We cannot be so much like the world that no one else can tell the difference between us and the world.
So let's begin with a heart to GO to HIM during this fast. We are fasting to rid ourselves of our fleshly desires and give our daily attention to HIM. Whatever you are fasting, take the time spent on it, and replace it with quality time for knowing God closer than ever before.
When this is the cry of your heart, He will make a way for you.
I will go in the strength of the Lord God, I will make mention of your righteousness, of yours only. - Psalms 71:16 NKJV
We must realize that we cannot accomplish anything in our own strength. But as we go to Him, He will give us His strength, and we will find we can do much more than we ever imagined in the strength of HIS might.
Our job is to continually be grateful to Him, to lift up His name, to think of Him and Him alone, and desire His heart for others.
I will wash my hands in innocence, so I will go about your altar, O Lord. - Psalms 26:6 NKJV
Staying at the altar of God will keep our focus right. Looking to Him, and desiring Him above all things will keep us full to the overflow.
As we draw close to Him, we will also become aware of anything in our heart that needs to be adjusted.
If we are open and teachable, and call out to Him, then He will give us HIS desires, which are always beyond us.
Then we will have His heart for others and it will motivate us to obey Him in going!
And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” - Mark 16:15 NKJV
This is not a suggestion. You can be sure that God has given you many gifts, some you may not realize yet. But He will stir these gifts up as we seek Him to be equipped for His “super” coming on our natural.
As they are stirred, you will find yourself stirred for reaching out to others. Some of you will find you have a gift of hospitality, some with serving, some with giving, some with teaching, some with music, some with creativity, and some with encouragement.
Whatever we have been given, we must put to use if it is to be multiplied and used for His glory.
If you feel you do not have the heart for others as you should, then ask Him to give you this desire. It is His heart that we need. And remember, everyone has different ways of reaching, of touching, and impacting.
Today, we want begin to allow the Lord to keep us open-hearted and purposely moving towards people with love and the truth of Jesus Christ and His redemption.
