2017 Fasting Guide – Day Fifteen

This is the beginning of the third week of our fast. Congratulations! We are making a difference as we become different as we wait upon Him, and allow Him to change our mindsets, our hearts and empower our spirits with more of the knowledge of Him. We are living without limitations as we grow in Him. Hallelujah! We are now going to look at how we can equip others, for this relationship we have with our God is never just for us. It is amazing and glorious to walk in who we are, but we will not be who He has called us to be if we aren’t always looking to affect others’ lives. From the beginning, God told Adam and Eve to multiply.

Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply…” - Genesis 1:28a NKJV

Yes, He meant children, but look at the rest of this sentence:

…fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion - Genesis 1:28a NKJV

He also meant to reproduce what they were called to do and be. They were sons and daughters of the Most High. They walked and talked with Him. They were to take dominion and authority in the earth. They were to reproduce THAT. Of course, we know that they chose to listen to the temptation of the enemy, and death came to them that day. Spiritual death to their oneness with God that was so freely available to them. They had open access; they had known Him so intimately, and then, because of sin, there was a sudden, obvious separation. They suddenly were hiding from Him.

And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden. -
Genesis 3:8 NKJV

What were they hiding from? The presence of the Lord God. But why?

9 Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, "Where are you?" 10 So he said, "I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself." - Genesis 3:9-10 NKJV

The reality was that they didn’t even know they weren’t clothed until the glory cloud that covered them disappeared when sin became their covering!

And He said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?" - Genesis 3:11 NKJV
The glory of God was diminished from their soul and sin became their covering.

But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God - Hebrews 10:12 NKJV

God was the Creator of man, of the universe, of all things. Man chose sin, but it didn’t stop God from showing Himself to man all throughout time so that man could once again choose Him of his own free will. God didn’t demand relationship, He offered it. But God was and is always present, offering relationship. Of course we know the relationship changed when Jesus became the great sacrifice for our sins, causing the great wall of sin to crumble and give us free access to the Father. Then things were put back in divine order. And we were able to see the heart of God being brought forward and relationship offered once again with no separation. Jesus paid for that unity on the cross.

19 Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, His body, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22a let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, - Hebrews 10:19-22a NIV

As He readied Himself for the sacrifice He would make to reunite God and mankind, as He began His ministry, the first thing He did was look for those to reproduce in.

18 And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. 19 Then He said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." 20 They immediately left their nets and followed Him. 21 Going on from there, He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them, 22 and immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed Him. - Matthew 4:18-22 NKJV
These were people who had everyday lives, who were working at making a living. You know, like you and like me. They were fishing and they were preparing nets for the catch. Jesus didn’t look at them as fishermen. He looked at them as fishers of men. He called them. He spoke the bigger picture to them. They would fish … for people. They would cast their lines after those who were caught in the depth of sin and the darkness of it and they would bring them out of it and offer them His glorious light. They would mend the nets that would be used to bring them out of the sea of sin. They would love unconditionally. They would talk and teach and train, and live their lives as an example before them all. Because Jesus would not just call them. He would equip the called. He would give them the ability to live differently. Empowered from relationship with the limitless Godhead, on their side. You see, we are on this earth not to just follow natural footsteps. We are here to hear His voice, to find our personal destiny, and to lead and equip others to do the same.

Lord Jesus, thank you for reconciling me to the Father and to my divine purpose and destiny. Help me Lord to be aware of all the authority You have given me in Your name. And let me always be aware that all You have invested in me is not just for me, but for those You have assigned for me to disciple and reproduce in. Thank You for those divine appointments and the supernatural ability You provide me with, to impact their lives for eternity and enlarge the Kingdom of God.

Song of Destiny
